Floor Scrubber vs Floor Buffer

People normally will imagine that a floor scrubber and floor buffer are the same kind of machine. But, the actual fact is floor scrubber and floor buffer are two different machines designed to carry different jobs in floor cleaning. Let’s discover the major criteria of floor scrubber and floor buffer to assist you making decision whether to use floor scrubber or floor buffer for your floor cleaning jobs.

A floor scrubber is a machine that has a scrubbing head, completed with an automatic dispensing of the cleaning solution and then vacuuming it up. All three in one job done in one roll over on your floor, you can dispense cleaning, scrub it into the floor, and vacuum it. Floor scrubber got two separate tanks which are intake tank and an outflow tank to keep your clean water from your dirty water.

Floor buffer is completely different from floor scrubber. It rests on the floor and a scrubbing pad will rotate to clean the floor. Some buffers are designed to include a solution tank. The cleaning agents kept in this tank are spread on to the floor thru the scrubbing pad. Unlike floor scrubber, the buffer is not capable of performing any vacuuming action on the cleaning solution on the floor.

The scrubbing surface of floor buffer machines is constantly rotating in a circle in one direction. Meanwhile, floor scrubber machines sometime have a rotating head, but many models offer a cylindrical brush head.

Buffers are made to rotate at varying speeds, the speed at which the pad or brush rotates directly affects the kind of floor cleaning job you want to do. Low speed buffers are meant for scrubbing jobs, depending on its design, can be employed for scrubbing, carpeting and bonneting. High-speed buffers, on the other hand are meant for polishing of hard floor surfaces.

Automatic floor scrubber machines are usually more expensive to invest, but it’s worthy as the time it save in cleaning floors and the quality of output it produce. For long term run for big floor area, floor scrubber will save time and man hour cost.

There is a lot of factors need to be considered in deciding the type of machine to be invested, be it a floor scrubber or a floor buffer. The most important thing it fit the current requirement of the type of job. If got extra capital, and have very large floor area, floor scrubber and floor buffer will be both at your gain.
